If you are searching for a Teen Challenge for your boy in Alabama, be aware that Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch could be just what you need. Located in Arkansas, it may be a distance from Alabama, but that may be a good thing. Boys needing intervention may need to get away from your hometown and the negative impact of friends there.
As the very first residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been serving families for upwards of 40 years. A relationship with Jesus is the best source of change in the lives of the teenagers. Every significant portion of our Teen Challenge program is biblically-based.
A number of factors show the difference between Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch and other similar programs:
MUCH LOWER COST! Teen Challenge is a fraction of the cost of other therapeutic programs.
MISSION TRIPS — Mission trips form a strong element of the program, for this reason: as boys mature, they naturally wish to give back and serve others.
6-MONTH AFTERCARE PROGRAM — After graduation from this Teen Challenge, boys go back home accompanied by a strong aftercare program to help them continue to grow. Aftercare is included in our tuition package.
MORE STAFF — First, we keep student-to-staff ratios low so that boys have plenty of supervision and one-on-one attention. Also, our staff are highly trained and most have bachelor or master’s degrees in their area of work.
ADVENTURE-BASED THERAPY — Our students have regular opportunities to experience fun and challenging outdoor trips and activities. Students enjoy camping, backpacking, rappelling, canoeing, and hiking, climbing and cave exploration. Boys are challenged physically and learn the importance of responsibility, goals and perseverance.
Academics mean much to us at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, because we feel education forms a foundation for future success. While enrolled in our private Christian school with fully accredited classes, boys study on courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to aid those who need it.
Parents from all over the nation, including Alabama, decide on Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for their sons.
Residents at Teen Challenge engage in a variety of recreational activities, both on and off campus. We run an adventure program that is second to none. In addition to being fun and physically challenging for the boys, it teaches them about reaching goals, communicating and cooperating well with others.
Many young men have turned their lives around and have gone on to make a difference for Christ after completing the program at Teen Challenge. We would love to talk with you to help you decide if our boarding school is the right fit for your son. Whether you choose Teen Challenge, a school in Alabama, or another option, we hope your family can experience the transformation that Christ can bring. |More about Teen Challenge in Alabama: |
Alabama is a state located in the southeastern region of the United States. It is bordered by Tennessee to the north, Georgia to the east, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico to the south, and Mississippi to the west. Alabama is the 30th most extensive and the 23rd most populous of the 50 United States. Alabama ranks second in the area of its inland waterways.
From the American Civil War until World War II, Alabama, like many Southern states, suffered economic hardship, in part because of continued dependence on agriculture. Despite the growth of major industries and urban centers, white rural interests dominated the state legislature until the 1960s, while urban interests and African Americans were under-represented. Following World War II, Alabama experienced growth as the economy of the state transitioned from agriculture to diversified interests in heavy manufacturing, mineral extraction, education, and technology. In addition, the establishment or expansion of multiple military installations, primarily those of the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force, added to state jobs.
Alabama is unofficially nicknamed the Yellowhammer State, after the state bird. Alabama is also known as the “Heart of Dixie.” The state tree is the Longleaf Pine, the state flower is the Camellia. The capital of Alabama is Montgomery. The largest city by population is Birmingham. The largest city by total land area is Huntsville. The oldest city is Mobile, founded by French colonists.
“Not only does Teen Challenge help our young people deal with their substance abuse, but is also gives our kids something to live for – a relationship with God, a healthy self-esteem, and a direction in their lives that finally leads somewhere. I sincerely appreciate your efforts to reach and rehabilitate the many young people who have, at present, no hope in life.”
Former Attorney General
“Teen Challenge changes the world one person at a time.”
Founder, Prison Fellowship
“The Teen Challenge program succeeds when all of the government programs have failed.”
“Too many young [people] have already lost their lives, and too many others have suffered serious injury for us to ignore the problems of juvenile alcohol and drug abuse. Programs such as Teen Challenge work to change young people’s lives by changing their hearts. I commend you for your work with young men who are addicted to drugs or alcohol.”
“In my opinion, Teen Challenge is doing the best all-around job of providing the kids with something meaningful in their lives. And that’s what they all need. . .I thank you for your continuing support for Teen Challenge.”
