If you would like to find a Teen Challenge for your boy in Florida, be aware that Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch may be precisely what you are looking for. Located in Arkansas, it may be a distance from Florida, but that may be a good thing. Teens needing intervention may need time away from your hometown and the influences of friends there.
As the very first residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been helping families for upwards of 40 years. A relationship with Jesus Christ is the surest way to a lasting difference in the lives of the young men. Every main component of our Teen Challenge program is biblically-based.
Several factors set Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch apart from other similar programs:
MUCH LOWER COST! Teen Challenge is a fraction of the cost of other therapeutic programs.
MISSION TRIPS — Mission trips form a key component of the program, for this reason: as boys mature, they naturally desire to give back and serve others.
6-MONTH AFTERCARE PROGRAM — After graduation from this Teen Challenge, boys return home accompanied by a strong aftercare program to prevent relapse . Aftercare is included in our tuition package.
MORE STAFF — First, we keep student-to-staff ratios low to ensure that boys receive a lot of supervision and personal attention. Also, our staff are highly trained and most have bachelor or master’s degrees in their area of work.
ADVENTURE-BASED THERAPY — Our students have regular opportunities to experience fun and challenging outdoor trips and activities. Students enjoy camping, backpacking, rappelling, canoeing, and hiking, climbing and cave exploration. Boys are challenged physically and learn the importance of responsibility, goals and perseverance.
Academics mean much to us at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, because we believe education holds the key to future success. Within our accredited private Christian school, boys work on courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to help those who are struggling.
Parents from around the country, including Florida, decide on Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for their sons.
Boys at Teen Challenge engage in numerous recreational activities, both on and off campus. We facilitate an adventure program second to none. In addition to being fun and physically challenging for the boys, it teaches them about reaching goals, communicating and working well with others.
Many young men have put their lives back on track and have gone on to make an impact for Christ after completing the program at Teen Challenge. We would love to talk with you to help you decide if our boarding school is the right fit for your son. Whether you select Teen Challenge, a school in Florida, or another option, we hope your family can experience the restoration that Christ can bring. |More about Teen Challenge in Florida: |
Florida is a state in the southeastern United States, located on the nation’s Atlantic and Gulf coasts. It is bordered to the west by the Gulf of Mexico, to the north by Alabama and Georgia and to the east by the Atlantic Ocean. Florida is the 22nd most extensive, the 4th most populous, and the 8th most densely populated of the 50 United States. The state capital is Tallahassee, its largest city is Jacksonville, and the South Florida metropolitan area is the largest metropolitan area in the southeastern U.S.
Much of Florida is situated on a peninsula between the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Straits of Florida. Its geography is marked by a coastline, by the omnipresence of water and the threat of hurricanes. Florida has the longest coastline in the contiguous United States, encompassing approximately 1,350 miles (2,170 km), and is the only state to border both the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. Much of the state is at or near sea level and its terrain is characterized by sedimentary soils. The climate varies from subtropical in the north to tropical in the south. Its symbolic animals like the American alligator, Florida panther and the manatee, can be found in the Everglades, one of the most famous national parks in the world.
Since the first European contact was made in 1513 by Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Len who named it La Florida (“Flowery Land”) upon landing there during the Easter season, Pascua Florida Florida was a challenge for the European colonial powers before it gained statehood in the United States in 1845. It was a principal location of the Seminole Wars against the Indians, and racial segregation after the American Civil War. Today, it is distinguished by its large Hispanic community, and high population growth, as well as its rising environmental concerns. Its economy relies mainly on tourism, agriculture and transportation, which developed in the late 19th century. Florida is also known for its amusement parks, the production of oranges and the Kennedy Space Center.
Florida culture is a reflection of influences and multiple inheritance; Native American, European American, Hispanic and African American heritages can be found in the architecture and cuisine. Florida has attracted many writers such as Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, Ernest Hemingway and Tennessee Williams, and continues to attract celebrities and athletes. It is internationally known for tennis, golf, auto racing and water sports.
“Not only does Teen Challenge help our young people deal with their substance abuse, but is also gives our kids something to live for – a relationship with God, a healthy self-esteem, and a direction in their lives that finally leads somewhere. I sincerely appreciate your efforts to reach and rehabilitate the many young people who have, at present, no hope in life.”
Former Attorney General
“Teen Challenge changes the world one person at a time.”
Founder, Prison Fellowship

“In my opinion, Teen Challenge is doing the best all-around job of providing the kids with something meaningful in their lives. And that’s what they all need. . .I thank you for your continuing support for Teen Challenge.”
