Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for Boys enrolls boys from Nevada on its Northwest Arkansas Campus. It is exceptional in that it has private bedrooms for each of the boys, an awesome wilderness program, and it includes mission trips and equine therapy.
For teen boys with anger, emotional issues, depression, behavioral problems, authority issues, or minor substance abuse, hope exists. An opportunity for a new path is possible through Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch. We lovingly train wayward boys to choose a new path in life, leading them to be godly and upright young men.
If you would like to find therapeutic boarding schools or boys ranches in Nevada, be aware that Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch could be precisely what you are looking for. Located in Northwest Arkansas, it is obviously a distance from Nevada, but that may be a good thing. Think about this: For teenage boys in need of intervention, getting away from your hometown–separate from the effect of friends and familiar places—may be exactly what he needs to start a change. Parents from all over the country, including Nevada, select Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for their sons.
As the initial residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been helping families for several decades. We believe that a relationship with Christ is the best source of a lasting difference in the lives of the boys we serve. Every significant element of our program is biblically-based. We feel that centering our program on Christ explains why so many boys have found success here, even where other programs have failed.
MORE STAFF — First, we keep student-to-staff ratios low in order that boys have plenty of supervision and individual attention. Our staff are highly trained and most have bachelor or master’s degrees in their area of work.
ADVENTURE-BASED LEARNING — Our outdoor adventure program is second to none. Our students have regular opportunities to experience fun and challenging outdoor activities. Students enjoy camping, backpacking, rappelling, canoeing, and spelunking (cave exploration). Students are challenged physically and learn the importance of goals and perseverance.
MORE PRIVACY FOR EACH BOY — Rather than housing all the boys in a large dorm filled with bunk beds, our students can spend nights in their own bedrooms, separate from the noise and influence of the other boys.
MORE FAMILY VISITS — Residents are allowed to make visits to home on seasonally scheduled breaks.
MORE ADDICTION TREATMENT — Our program is a licensed dual-diagnosis Addiction Treatment Center with staff expertly trained to treat addictions to alcohol or drugs, as well as harmful lifestyle addictions to gambling, pornography, or online gaming.
EXTENSIVE AFTERCARE PROGRAM — After graduation from Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, boys go back home followed by a strong aftercare program to continue their positive growth. Aftercare is included in our tuition package.
Education means much to us at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for Boys, because we believe education strongly supports future success. While enrolled in our private Christian school with fully accredited classes, boys study courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to aid those who need it. We offer a GED track for anyone with not enough credits to complete high school on time. Credits earned can transfer to public or private schools at home. Boys may also study basic vocational skills including woodworking, basic electrical, construction and carpentry, shop skills, basic automotive, and others. After completing Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, many boys prefer to continue their classwork from home through dual enrollment with Alpha Omega Academy distance learning.
Boys at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch participate in a variety of recreational activities, both on and off campus. We run an adventure program second to none. Besides being fun and physically challenging for the boys, it teaches them about reaching goals, communicating and cooperating well with others.
