45 Year Reputation for Healing and Hope for Hundreds of Boys

therapeutic ranchAs the first residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been bringing restoration to families for over 45 years. We believe that a relationship with Jesus Christ is the surest way to healing in the lives of the teenage boys we serve. Every main part of our program is biblically based. We feel that centering our program on Christ explains why countless teenage boys have found success here, even where other programs have failed.

A few factors set Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch apart from other therapeutic boarding schools:

  • MORE STAFF — First, we keep student-to-staff ratios low in order that boys receive lots of supervision and one-on-one attention. Our staff are highly trained and most have bachelor or master’s degrees in their area of work.

  • ADVENTURE-BASED LEARNING — Our outdoor adventure program is second to none. Our students have regular opportunities to experience fun and challenging outdoor activities. Students enjoy camping, backpacking, rappelling, canoeing, and spelunking (cave exploration). Students are challenged physically and learn the importance of goals and perseverance.

  • MORE PRIVACY FOR EACH BOY — Rather than housing all the boys in a large dorm filled with bunk beds, our students can spend nights in their own bedrooms, separate from the noise and influence of the other boys.

  • MORE FAMILY VISITS — Residents are allowed to make visits to home on regularly scheduled breaks.

  • MORE MISSION TRIPS — Mission trips form an important aspect of the program, for this reason: as boys mature, they naturally desire to give back and serve others.

  • EXTENSIVE AFTERCARE PROGRAM — After completion of Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, boys go home with a strong aftercare program to continue their positive growth. Aftercare is included in our tuition package.
