Our history of success shows that adventure and activity are the perfect environment for boys to deal with life issues.
Boys with life issues or addictions typically experience academic failure, so we help them get caught up and even retake courses.
Rather than a stale counseling office, boys here at the ranch love the adventure and outdoors as they recover.
This Adventure Ranch was the very first Teen Challenge® therapeutic boarding school for teenage boys. We are the only such program that provides private bedrooms for the boys, which we believe is important. Our energetic counselors and caring staff encourage the boys to apply faith-based solutions to life’s problems, and we actively teach that a personal relationship with God is the primary means and source of power for a boy change. We endeavor to help troubled boys become mentally sound.
If nothing else is working, placing your boy in a residential program may be absolutely the right choice and the best chance for helping your troubled teen. Our program is designed to help your boy when:
His behavior is out of control
Counseling and other outpatient treatments aren’t working
His problems are persistent or even worsening despite promises to change
Inappropriate behaviors are placing his (or your) health or life at risk
He is involved in illegal activities or drugs
He was expelled from school or is facing legal problems
He is deeply entangled with friends who are a negative influence
He keeps returning to negative behaviors even after periods of time when he has been doing well
When your boy’s behaviors or attitudes could endanger his future.
Thank the Lord I had a bold Mom and Step-dad who really wanted the best for me and cared about me so much to make this hard decision to send their kid out for a year, hoping I would come back a changed man. Well not only did I come back a changed man, I will never go back to my old ways.
At age 16, I was an intravenous meth user and meth cook. I had given my life to drugs and would have done anything for them. Today, I am drug free, saved, and loving Jesus. I am married and have a child. God has done a miracle in my life.

“Not only does Teen Challenge help our young people deal with their substance abuse, but is also gives our kids something to live for – a relationship with God, a healthy self-esteem, and a direction in their lives that finally leads somewhere. I sincerely appreciate your efforts to reach and rehabilitate the many young people who have, at present, no hope in life.”
Former Attorney General
“Teen Challenge changes the world one person at a time.”
Founder, Prison Fellowship
“The Teen Challenge program succeeds when all of the government programs have failed.”
“Too many young [people] have already lost their lives, and too many others have suffered serious injury for us to ignore the problems of juvenile alcohol and drug abuse. Programs such as Teen Challenge work to change young people’s lives by changing their hearts. I commend you for your work with young men who are addicted to drugs or alcohol.”
“In my opinion, Teen Challenge is doing the best all-around job of providing the kids with something meaningful in their lives. And that’s what they all need. . .I thank you for your continuing support for Teen Challenge.”
Former US Drug Czar
“Of all the drug programs reported to the Commission, the most successful is the program conducted by Teen Challenge.”
Past Director, AT&T Corporation
“Teen Challenge is one of the most successful programs in our country.”
