Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment in which addicted boys from Minnesota advance academically and behaviorally. They will also learn valuable life skills, develop character, and develop healthy relationships with others. Addiction therapy here aims to target underlying reasons for the repetition of damaging behaviors and addictions. We employ adventure-based therapy, a proven curriculum, and ongoing individual and group addiction counseling. As a result of these therapies, students replace their old ways of thinking and behaving with a new sense of drive and positivity.
For most boys who enter our program, harmful behaviors are driven by the substances they are abusing, from alcohol and marijuana to harder illicit drugs. Regardless, they have given in to unhealthy and extremely harmful methods of dealing with life. Substances and adrenaline-seeking behaviors have become the boy’s coping mechanism for handling the ordinary stresses of life. Once the addictions are under control, we introduce each boy to new, better ways of coping with struggles.
Character traits such as honesty, integrity, and compassion are also taught to the boys and demonstrated by peers and staff. Boys are encouraged to trust God and seek His purpose in their lives. When students embrace these concepts, the obsession with drugs and alcohol will be lifted and they will be able to resume lives as happy, productive members of society.
If your teen is struggling with drugs and/or behavioral issues, we can help turn his life around. Although we are not located in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, it is best for a boy to be separated from his negative peer influences in his home city, so the distance is a plus. At this program, he will learn how to overcome his struggles and develop healthy relationships. For more information about this Christian rehab for teens, located in Arkansas, please contact us.
As the initial residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been assisting families for upwards of 40 years. We believe that centering our program on Christ explains why so many boys have found deliverance from addictions here, even where other rehab programs have failed.
After completion of our Christian rehab, boys go back home with a strong aftercare program to prevent relapse . Aftercare is included without added cost in our normal tuition package.
Education means much to us, because we find that education holds the key to future success. While enrolled in our accredited private Christian school, boys complete courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to aid those who are struggling. Credits earned can easily transfer to public or private schools at home. Boys can also learn basic vocational skills for example woodworking, basic electrical, construction and carpentry, welding, basic automotive, and more. After graduating from our rehab, boys may opt to continue their classwork at home.
Many young men have put their lives back on track and have gone on to make an impact for Christ after successfully finishing Teen Challenge Ranch. We would like to talk with you to determine if our boarding school is a good fit for your son. Whether you decide on Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, a rehab and sober school in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, or another alternative, we hope your family can experience the transformation that Christ can bring. St. Cloud is a city in the U.S. state of Minnesota and the largest population center in the state’s central region. The population was 65,842 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Stearns CountyGR. It is named after the city of Saint-Cloud, France (in le-de-France, near Paris), which was named for the 6th-century French monk Clodoald.
Though mostly in Stearns County, the city also extends into Benton County and Sherburne County. One of the fastest-growing areas in the state, St. Cloud is surrounded by a small metropolitan area, with Waite Park, Sauk Rapids, Sartell, and St. Augusta directly bordering the city, and Foley, Rice, Kimball, Clearwater, Clear Lake, Rockville, St. Joseph, and Cold Spring nearby. With 189,093 residents at the 2010 census, the St. Cloud metropolitan area is the third-largest Minnesota population center, behind Minneapolis-St. Paul and Duluth-Superior, and slightly ahead of Rochester (with 186,011 residents). The population of Fargo-Moorhead is also larger than St. Cloud’s or Rochester’s, but most of that is in North Dakota, with only 58,999 residents in Minnesota.
St. Cloud is located Convert northwest of the “Twin Cities” of Minneapolis-St. Paul along Interstate 94, U.S. Route 10, and Minnesota State Highway 23. The St. Cloud Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) is made up of Stearns and Benton Counties. The city was included in a newly defined Minneapolis-St. Paul-St. Cloud Combined Statistical Area (CSA) in 2000, even though commuting criteria did not require mandatory inclusion. St. Cloud as a whole has never been part of the 13-county MSA comprising Minneapolis, St. Paul, Bloomington, and parts of western Wisconsin, although its Sherburne County portion is considered part of the Twin Cities metropolitan area by Census Bureau definition.
The Mississippi River flows through the city, which owns and operates a hydroelectric dam that can produce up to 9 megawatts of electricity. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources designated a Convert section of the Mississippi south of St. Cloud part of Minnesota’s Wild & Scenic Rivers Program in 1976. It has the 30 undeveloped “Beaver Islands”, multiple channels and sandbars, and no major rapids, and is popular for day trips by canoe.
