Located in Northwest Arkansas, it is obviously a distance from Branson, Missouri, but that may be a good thing. Think about this: For teenage boys in need of intervention, spending time away from your hometown — away from the negative impact of friends and familiar places — away–separate from the pressure of friends and familiar places—might be precisely the right thing to cause a change. Parents from across the country, including Branson, Missouri, choose Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for their sons.
Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for Boys admits boys from Branson, Missouri on its Northwest Arkansas Campus. It has private bedrooms for each of the boys, an awesome wilderness program, and it includes mission trips and equine therapy.
As the initial residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been helping families for several decades. We are certain that a relationship with Christ is the surest way to healing in the lives of the young men we serve. Every major element of our program is biblically-based. We believe that centering our program on Christ explains why numerous young men have realized success here, even where other programs didn’t work.
MORE STAFF — First, we keep student-to-staff ratios low in order that boys receive a lot of supervision and personal attention. Our staff are highly trained and most have bachelor or master’s degrees in their area of work.
ADVENTURE-BASED LEARNING — Our outdoor adventure program is second to none. Our students have regular opportunities to experience fun and challenging outdoor activities. Students enjoy camping, backpacking, rappelling, canoeing, and spelunking (cave exploration). Students are challenged physically and learn the importance of goals and perseverance.
PRIVACY FOR EACH BOY — Rather than housing all the boys in a large dorm filled with bunk beds, our students enjoy their own bedrooms, separate from the noise and influence of the other boys.
FAMILY VISITS — Residents are allowed to visit family on regularly scheduled breaks.
ADDICTION TREATMENT — Our program is a licensed dual-diagnosis Addiction Treatment Center with staff expertly trained to treat addictions to alcohol or drugs, as well as harmful lifestyle addictions to gambling, pornography, or online gaming.
EXTENSIVE AFTERCARE PROGRAM — After successfully finishing Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, boys go back home accompanied by a strong aftercare program to help them continue to grow. Aftercare is included in our tuition package.
Education means a great deal to us at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for Boys, because we feel education holds the key to future success. Within our private school with fully accredited courses, students complete courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to assist those who need it. We offer a GED track for anyone with too few credits to finish senior high school in a timely manner. Credits earned can transfer to private or public schools at home. Boys can also learn basic vocational skills such as woodworking, basic electrical, construction and carpentry, shop skills, basic automotive, and others.
Residents at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch participate in many recreational activities, both on and off campus. We operate an adventure program. As well as being fun and physically challenging for the boys, it teaches them about reaching goals, communicating and dealing well with others.
Many boys have put their lives back on track and have gone on to make an impact for Christ after graduating from Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for Boys. We would like to talk with you to help you decide if our boarding school is a good fit for your son. Whether you choose Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, a school in Branson, Missouri, or another alternative, we hope your family can experience the restoration that Christ can bring. We value education and academic success, considering it key to long-term life success. Most of our staff have advanced degrees. Many of the students who come here lack sufficient high school credit to obtain their diplomas in a timely manner, but we help them get caught up and even to retake classes for a higher GPA. Every boy on campus is taught and tutored several hours each day. Our disciplined and structured approach to learning, with individualized academic goals and progress, helps the boys get back on track with their education and our courses are fully accredited and transferrable.
Our outdoor adventure program is second to none. Our students have regular opportunities to experience fun and challenging indoor and outdoor physical activities. Students enjoy camping, backpacking, rappelling, canoeing, and spelunking (cave exploration). They are challenged physically and learn the importance of goals and perseverance.
