We provide a protective, structured, and nurturing environment in which addicted boys from Florida advance academically and behaviorally. They will also learn practical life skills, develop character, and develop healthy relationships with others. Addiction therapy here seeks to identify underlying reasons for the re-occurrence of damaging behaviors and addictions. We utilize adventure-based therapy, a proven curriculum, and continuous individual and group addiction counseling. As a result of these therapies, students replace their old ways of thinking and acting with a new sense of purpose and positivity.
For most students who enter our program, harmful actions are driven by the substances they are abusing, from alcohol and marijuana to various illicit drugs. Regardless, they have surrendered to unhealthy and extremely damaging methods of coping with life. Drugs or alcohol and adrenaline-seeking activities have become the boy’s coping mechanism for dealing with the ordinary rigors of life. After the addictions are under control, we introduce each boy to new, healthy ways of coping with struggles.
Spiritual principles such as honesty, integrity, and compassion are also taught to the boys and demonstrated by peers and staff. Boys are encouraged to trust God and seek His purpose in their lives. When students embrace these concepts, the obsession with drugs and alcohol will be lifted and they will be able to resume lives as happy, productive members of society.
If your teen is struggling with substances and/or behavioral issues, we can help turn his life around. Although we are not located in Coral Springs, Florida, it is best for a boy to be separated from his negative peer influences in his home city, so the distance is a plus. At this facility, he will learn how to conquer his struggles and develop healthy relationships. For more information about this Christian rehab for teens, located in Arkansas, please contact us.
Since we became the very first residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been bringing restoration to families for over 40 years. We feel that centering our program on Christ explains why countless teenage boys have found deliverance from addictions here, even where other rehab programs didn’t work.
After graduation from our Christian rehab, boys go home accompanied by a strong aftercare program to prevent relapse . Aftercare is included without added cost in our normal tuition package.
Academics mean a great deal to us, because we feel education forms a foundation for future success. While enrolled in our private Christian school with fully accredited classes, students work on courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to help those who need it. Credits earned can easily transfer to public or private schools at home. Boys may also study basic vocational skills such as woodworking, basic electrical, construction and carpentry, shop skills, basic automotive, and others. After leaving our rehab, boys may choose to continue their classwork from home through the online Alpha Omega Academy that we use.
Many teens have turned their lives around and have gone on to make an impact for Christ after completing the program at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch. We would love to talk with you to see if our boarding school is a good option for your son. Whether you decide on Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, a school in Coral Springs, Florida, or another program, we hope your family can experience the restoration that Christ can bring. Coral Springs, officially chartered July 10, 1963, is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States, approximately Convert northwest of Fort Lauderdale. As of the 2010 United States Census, the city had a population of 121,096. It is part of the MiamiFort LauderdalePompano Beach Metropolitan Statistical Area, which was home to 5,564,635 people in 2010.
The city was master-planned and primarily developed by WCI Communities, then known as Coral Ridge Properties, a division of Westinghouse. The city’s name is derived from the company’s name, and was selected after several earlier proposals had been considered and rejected. Despite the name, there are no springs in the city; Florida’s springs are found in the central and northern portions of the state.
During the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s the young city grew rapidly, adding over 35,000 residents each decade. Coral Springs has a distinctive atmosphere among South Florida cities, due in part to its stringent codes designed to maintain the city’s aesthetic appeal. The city government’s effective fiscal management has maintained high bond ratings, and the city has won accolades for its overall livability, its low crime rate, and its family-friendly orientation.
