We provide a protective, structured, and nurturing environment in which addicted boys from Louisiana advance academically and behaviorally. They will also learn valuable life skills, develop character, and develop healthy relationships with others. Addiction therapy here seeks to target underlying reasons for the repetition of inappropriate behaviors and addictions. We employ adventure-based therapy, a proven curriculum, and continuous individual and group addiction counseling. As a result of such therapies, students replace their old ways of thinking and behaving with a new sense of drive and positivity.
For most students who enter our program, harmful actions are driven by the substances they are abusing, from alcohol and marijuana to various illicit drugs. In any case, they have given in to unhealthy and extremely damaging methods of coping with life. Drugs or alcohol and adrenaline-seeking behaviors have become the boy’s coping mechanism for dealing with the ordinary rigors of life. Once the addictions are under control, we introduce each boy to new, better ways of coping with difficulties.
Spiritual principles such as honesty, integrity, and compassion are also taught to the boys and demonstrated by peers and staff. Boys are encouraged to trust God and seek His purpose in their lives. When students grab ahold of these concepts, the obsession with drugs and alcohol will be removed and they will be free to resume lives as happy, productive members of society.
If your boy is struggling with drugs and/or behavioral issues, we can help turn his life around. Although we are not located in Lafayette, Louisiana, it is best for a boy to be separated from his negative peer influences in his home city, so the distance is a plus. At this facility, he will learn how to conquer his struggles and develop healthy relationships. For more information about this Christian rehab for teens, located in Arkansas, please contact us.
Since we became the very first residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been helping families for over 40 years. We believe that centering our program on Christ is the reason countless boys have realized deliverance from addictions here, even where other rehab programs didn’t work.
After successfully finishing our Christian rehab, boys go back home followed by a strong aftercare program to help them continue to grow. Aftercare is included without added cost in our normal tuition package.
Education means a lot to us, because we believe education forms a foundation for future success. In our private Christian school with fully accredited classes, students work on courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to assist those who are struggling. Credits earned can easily transfer to private or public schools at home. Boys can also learn basic vocational skills for example woodworking, basic electrical, construction and carpentry, shop skills, basic automotive, and more. After completing our rehab, boys may choose to continue their classwork at home through the online Alpha Omega Academy that we use.
Many boys have put their lives back on track and have gone on to make a difference for Christ after completing the program at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch. We would love to talk with you to determine if our boarding school is a good fit for your son. Whether you decide on Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, a school in Lafayette, Louisiana, or another option, we hope your family can find the healing that Christ can bring.
