Teen Challenge helps boys from Michigan on its Arkansas campus. This Christian rehab for teenagers is uncommon in that it has private bedrooms, an exciting wilderness therapy program, and it also solves behavioral problems.
We provide a protective, structured, and nurturing environment in which addicted boys from Michigan grow academically and behaviorally. They will also learn practical life skills, develop character, and create healthy relationships with others. Addiction therapy here aims to target underlying reasons for the repetition of inappropriate behaviors and addictions. We employ adventure-based therapy, a proven curriculum, and ongoing individual and group addiction counseling. As a result of these therapies, students replace their old ways of thinking and behaving with a new sense of purpose and positivity.
For most boys who enter our program, harmful actions are driven by the substances they are abusing, from alcohol and pot, to harder illicit drugs. Regardless, they have surrendered to unhealthy and extremely harmful methods of dealing with life. Substances and adrenaline-seeking behaviors have become the boy’s coping mechanism for handling the ordinary rigors of life. Once the addictions are under control, we introduce each boy to new, healthy ways of coping with difficulties.
Spiritual principles such as honesty, integrity, and compassion are also taught to the boys and modeled by peers and staff. Boys are encouraged to trust God and seek His purpose in their lives. When students embrace these concepts, the obsession with drugs and alcohol will be lifted and they will be free to resume lives as happy, productive members of society.
If your son is struggling with substances and/or behavioral issues, we can help turn his life around. Although we are not located in , Michigan, it is ideal for a boy to be removed from his negative peer influences in his home city, so the distance is a plus. At this facility, he will learn how to conquer his struggles and develop healthy relationships. For more information about this Christian rehab for teens, located in Arkansas, please contact us.
As the first residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been offering hope to families for over 40 years. We believe that centering our program on Christ is the reason numerous teenagers have found deliverance from addictions here, even where other rehab programs failed.
After graduation from our Christian rehab, boys go back home accompanied by a strong aftercare program to continue their positive growth. Aftercare is included without added cost in our normal tuition package.
Academics mean a great deal to us, because we think education holds the key to future success. Within our private Christian school with fully accredited classes, boys work on courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to aid those who are struggling. Credits earned can easily transfer to private or public schools at home. Boys may also study basic vocational skills like woodworking, basic electrical, construction and carpentry, shop skills, basic automotive, and others. After graduating from our rehab, boys may opt to continue their classwork at home through the online Alpha Omega Academy that we use.
We would love to talk with you to determine if our program is a good option for your son. Please read the rest of our website and use our inquiry form or call us today.

Michigan is a U.S. state located in the Great Lakes Region of the United States of America. The name Michigan is the French form of the Ojibwa word mishigamaa, meaning “large water” or “large lake”. Michigan is the 11th most extensive and the 8th most populous of the 50 United States.
Michigan has the longest freshwater coastline of any political subdivision in the world, being bounded by four of the five Great Lakes, plus Lake Saint Clair. Michigan is one of the leading U.S. states for recreational boating. The state has 64,980 inland lakes and ponds. A person in the state is never more than six miles (10 km) from a natural water source or more than Convert from a Great Lakes shoreline. It is the largest state by total area east of the Mississippi River.
Michigan is the only state to consist entirely of two peninsulas. The Lower Peninsula, to which the name Michigan was originally applied, is often noted to be shaped like a mitten. The Upper Peninsula (often referred to as “The U.P.”) is separated from the Lower Peninsula by the Straits of Mackinac, a five-mile (8 km)-wide channel that joins Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. The two peninsulas are connected by the Mackinac Bridge. The Upper Peninsula is economically important due to its status as a tourist destination. There are also a variety of natural resources to be found there, including a sizable amount of iron ore.
