Teen Challenge helps boys from Virginia on its Arkansas campus. This Christian rehab for teenagers is unique in that it has private bedrooms, an awesome wilderness therapy program, and it also solves behavioral problems.
We provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment in which addicted boys from Virginia grow academically and behaviorally. They will also learn practical life skills, develop character, and create healthy relationships with others. Addiction therapy here seeks to identify underlying reasons for the re-occurrence of inappropriate behaviors and addictions. We utilize adventure-based therapy, a proven curriculum, and ongoing individual and group addiction counseling. As a result of such therapies, students replace their old ways of thinking and behaving with a new sense of drive and positivity.
For most boys who enter our program, harmful actions are driven by the substances they are abusing, from alcohol and marijuana to various illicit drugs. In any case, they have surrendered to unhealthy and extremely harmful methods of dealing with life. Substances and adrenaline-seeking behaviors have become the boy’s coping mechanism for dealing with the ordinary rigors of life. Once the addictions are under control, we introduce each boy to new, better ways of coping with struggles.
Spiritual principles such as honesty, integrity, and compassion are also taught to the boys and modelled by peers and staff. Boys are encouraged to trust God and seek His purpose in their lives. When students embrace these concepts, the obsession with drugs and alcohol will be lifted and they will be able to resume lives as happy, productive members of society.
If your boy is struggling with substances and/or behavioral issues, we can help turn his life around. Although we are not located in , Virginia, it is ideal for a boy to be separated from his negative peer influences in his home city, so the distance is a plus. At this facility, he will learn how to conquer his struggles and develop healthy relationships. For more information about this Christian rehab for teens, located in Arkansas, please contact us.
As the very first residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been offering hope to families for several decades. We feel that centering our program on Christ explains why countless young men have discovered deliverance from addictions here, even where other rehab programs didn’t work.
After graduation from our Christian rehab, boys go home followed by a strong aftercare program to prevent relapse . Aftercare is included without added cost in our normal tuition package.
Education means a great deal to us, because we think education is critical for future success. Within our private Christian school with fully accredited classes, boys complete courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to help those who are struggling. Credits earned can easily transfer to public or private schools at home. Boys may also study basic vocational skills such as woodworking, basic electrical, construction and carpentry, shop skills, basic automotive, and more. After graduating from our rehab, boys may opt to continue their classwork from home through the online Alpha Omega Academy that we use.
We would love to talk with you to determine if our program is a good option for your son. Please read the rest of our website and use our inquiry form or call us today.

Virginia is a U.S. state on the Atlantic Coast of the Southern United States. Virginia is nicknamed the “Old Dominion” and sometimes the “Mother of Presidents” after the eight U.S. presidents born there. The geography and climate of the Commonwealth are shaped by the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Chesapeake Bay, which provide habitat for much of its flora and fauna. The capital of the Commonwealth is Richmond; Virginia Beach is the most populous city and Fairfax County the most populous political subdivision. The Commonwealth’s population is over eight million.
The area’s history begins with several indigenous groups, including the Powhatan. In 1607 the London Company established the Colony of Virginia as the first permanent New World English colony. Slave labor and the land acquired from displaced Native American tribes each played a significant role in the colony’s early politics and plantation economy. Virginia was one of the 13 Colonies in the American Revolution and joined the Confederacy in the American Civil War, during which Richmond was made the Confederate capital and Virginia’s northwestern counties separated to form the state of West Virginia. Although the Commonwealth was under conservative single party rule for nearly a century following Reconstruction, both major national parties are competitive in modern Virginia.
The Virginia General Assembly is the oldest legislature in the Western Hemisphere. The state government has been repeatedly ranked most effective by the Pew Center on the States. It is unique in how it treats cities and counties equally, manages local roads, and prohibits its governors from serving consecutive terms. Virginia’s economy has many sectors: agriculture in the Shenandoah Valley; federal agencies in Northern Virginia, including the headquarters of the Department of Defense and CIA; and military facilities in Hampton Roads, the site of the region’s main seaport. Virginia’s public schools and many colleges and universities have contributed to growing media and technology sectors. As a result, computer chips have become the state’s leading export.
