MORE STAFF — First, we keep student-to-staff ratios low to ensure that boys receive lots of supervision and personal attention. Our staff are highly trained and most have bachelor or master’s degrees in their area of work.
ADVENTURE-BASED LEARNING — Our outdoor adventure program is second to none. Our students have regular opportunities to experience fun and challenging outdoor activities. Students enjoy camping, backpacking, rappelling, canoeing, and spelunking (cave exploration). Students are challenged physically and learn the importance of goals and perseverance.
MORE PRIVACY FOR EACH BOY — Rather than housing all the boys in a large dorm filled with bunk beds, our students can spend nights in their own bedrooms, separate from the noise and influence of the other boys.
MORE FAMILY VISITS — Residents are allowed to visit family on normal scheduled breaks.
MORE ADDICTION TREATMENT — Our program is a licensed dual-diagnosis Addiction Treatment Center with staff expertly trained to treat addictions to alcohol or drugs, as well as harmful lifestyle addictions to gambling, pornography, or online gaming.
EXTENSIVE AFTERCARE PROGRAM — After graduation from Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, boys go home with a strong aftercare program to continue the forward momentum. Aftercare is included in our tuition package.
Academics mean a great deal to us at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for Boys, because we feel education strongly supports future success. In our private Christian school with fully accredited classes, students complete courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to assist those who are struggling. We offer a GED track for those with too few credits to finish senior high school in an appropriate time frame. Credits earned can transfer to private or public schools at home. Boys may also study basic vocational skills such as woodworking, basic electrical, construction and carpentry, shop skills, basic automotive, and others. After completing Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, many boys decide to continue their classwork at home through dual enrollment with Alpha Omega Academy distance learning.
Teens at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch engage in a variety of recreational activities, both on and off campus. Besides being fun and physically challenging for the boys, it teaches them about reaching goals, communicating and dealing well with others.
