We believe that centering our program on Christ explains why countless young men have discovered success here, even where other programs didn’t work.
MORE STAFF — First, we keep student-to-staff ratios low to ensure that boys receive plenty of supervision and one-on-one attention. Our staff are highly trained and most have bachelor or master’s degrees in their area of work.
ADVENTURE-BASED LEARNING — Our outdoor adventure program is second to none. Our students have regular opportunities to experience fun and challenging outdoor activities. Students enjoy camping, backpacking, rappelling, canoeing, and spelunking (cave exploration). Students are challenged physically and learn the importance of goals and perseverance.
MORE PRIVACY FOR EACH BOY — Rather than housing all the boys in a large dorm filled with bunk beds, our students can spend nights in their own bedrooms, separate from the noise and influence of the other boys.
MORE FAMILY VISITS — Residents are allowed to make visits to home on regularly scheduled breaks.
MORE ADDICTION TREATMENT — Our program is a licensed dual-diagnosis Addiction Treatment Center with staff expertly trained to treat addictions to alcohol or drugs, as well as harmful lifestyle addictions to gambling, pornography, or online gaming.
EXTENSIVE AFTERCARE PROGRAM — After successfully finishing Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, boys go back home with a strong aftercare program to help them continue to grow. Aftercare is included in our tuition package.
Education means a lot to us at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for Boys, because we find that education forms a foundation for future success. While enrolled in our private Christian school with fully accredited classes, students work on courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to aid those who are struggling. We offer a GED option for students with too many missing credits to graduate senior high school in a timely manner. Credits earned can transfer to public or private schools at home. Boys may also study basic vocational skills like woodworking, basic electrical, construction and carpentry, shop skills, basic automotive, and more. After leaving Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, many boys prefer to continue their classwork at home through dual enrollment with Alpha Omega Academy distance education.
Students at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch participate in a multitude of recreational activities, both on and off campus. We run an adventure program second to none. Besides being fun and physically challenging for the boys, it teaches them about reaching goals, communicating and working well with others.
