Family Involvement
Sustainable Recovery Starts within the Family
Family involvement throughout the treatment process is vital. This goes beyond communication, key updates and weekly calls to encompass greater opportunities for growth within family relationships.
Family therapy sessions provide an opportunity for parents and teens to communicate and work on deeper issues with the guidance of a licensed therapist.
Town halls with our case managers and parent-peer study groups provide opportunities for parents to engage in community and gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics impacting their family relationships.
Opportunities for campus visits and off-campus passes allow families to spend time together, bonding, healing, and rebuilding their relationships as treatment progresses.
At Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, our approach is relational. We focus on creating conditions for sustainable recovery by helping teens build healthy systems of support, beginning with family relationships.

Family Therapy
Family therapy sessions facilitated by onsite, licensed therapists provide an opportunity to improve communication, resolve conflict, and strengthen relationships between teens and their parents.

RECONNECT Weekends
A bi-monthly, all-day family-based intensive provides parents with a structured opportunity to visit campus and begin building a better relationship with their son. These weekends are a highlight of the treatment experience for many.

Aftercare Support
We begin planning for what happens when teens leave treatment from day one. From developing a plan for the future, to establishing external supports and making a successful post-treatment transition, every step is intentional.

Renewal for Every Family
“Our family isn’t the same – and it’s for all the right reasons. When our son came to Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, he needed time and space to focus, learn, and grow. But we needed that time and space just as much.”
Quickly, parent-peer groups, book studies, and RECONNECT intensives became our new normal. It was a lot of work, but it brought so many blessings that continue bring renewal to our entire family.
