CURRENT GIVING PROJECTS
Here are the areas that we are currently raising funds for (please indicate the designation in the giving form below):
New Dormitory
We dedicated our new dormitory, The Reed Dorm, on August 15, 2021. The Reeds are co-founders of TCAR and have been heavily involved for 50 years. This allowed us to close “Old Main” and raise the number of students we could house to 40. Our final growth phase is one additional dormitory, which we hope to break ground on as soon as the Equestrian Center is complete.

TCAR currently has 12 horses that are used in daily equine therapy. We have officially had this program for eight years, and it continues to be our residents’ favorite. Boys report that it helps them to adjust to being away from home and gives them a healthy mental and physical outlet as they work on their recovery. Boys also repeatedly share that the relationship with “their” horse makes it easier for them to return to TCAR after a home pass. Therapeutically, horses teach relationships and responsibility. Unfortunately, we do not have stables or an arena for our horses. They are in a pasture and do have a Loafing Shed. The Equestrian Center will allow us to better manage our horses’ health and provide year-round equine therapy, regardless of the weather.

Road upgrades are necessary with the building of new dorms and a new arena. Campus security is being improved for the safety of our staff and students with the addition of perimeter fencing and gates. These additions require technology upgrades as well.

You may offer general, non-restricted support to Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch. Funds in this category are used for scholarships for students. A specific student that is a relative cannot be identified if the gift is to remain tax-deductible.
