What is Residential Treatment for Behavioral Health?
Residential treatment facilities like Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch provide an immersive, structured environment with 24/7 support and care from licensed and trained mental and behavioral health professionals. Daily schedules incorporate therapuetic activities, education, and personal or spiritual growth elements to provide a holistic approach to treatment.
Individual Therapy
Teens work one-on-one with a dedicated, licensed therapist using a trauma-informed approach that promotes self-led exploration of thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. Our therapists use evidence-based methods like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), accelerated resolution therapy (ART), and mindfulness-based techniques.
Group Therapy
Boys participate in therapist-led group therapy activities with peers, fostering connection and enabling them to practice social skills in a safe setting. At TCAR, we provide a variety of group activities ranging from mindfulness to outdoor adventure.
Family Therapy
Part of the healing process involves improving communication and strengthening relationships with parents. Our therapists will facilitate building this foundation through family therapy sessions focused on addressing relational dynamics as factors in behavior.
