Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment in which addicted boys from Illinois advance academically and behaviorally. They will also learn valuable life skills, build character, and create healthy relationships with others. Addiction therapy here aims to target underlying reasons for the repetition of damaging behaviors and addictions. We utilize adventure-based therapy, a proven curriculum, and ongoing individual and group addiction counseling. As a result of these therapies, students replace their old ways of thinking and acting with a new sense of drive and positivity.
For most students who enter our program, harmful actions are driven by the substances they are abusing, from alcohol and marijuana to harder illicit drugs. In any case, they have surrendered to unhealthy and extremely harmful methods of coping with life. Drugs or alcohol and adrenaline-seeking behaviors have become the boy’s coping mechanism for handling the ordinary stresses of life. After the addictions are under control, we introduce each boy to new, better ways of coping with struggles.
Character traits such as honesty, integrity, and compassion are also taught to the boys and modeled by peers and staff. Boys are encouraged to trust God and seek His purpose in their lives. When students grab ahold of these concepts, the need for drugs and alcohol will be removed and they will be free to resume lives as happy, productive members of society.
If your boy is struggling with drugs and/or behavioral issues, we can help turn his life around. Although we are not located in Decatur, Illinois, it is ideal for a boy to be separated from his negative peer influences in his home city, so the distance is a plus. At this program, he will learn how to conquer his struggles and build healthy relationships. For more information about this Christian rehab for teens, located in Arkansas, please contact us.
As the first residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been bringing restoration to families more than 40 years. We feel that centering our program on Christ is the reason countless teenage boys are finding deliverance from addictions here, even where other rehab programs have failed.
After successfully finishing our Christian rehab, boys return home followed by a strong aftercare program to continue their positive growth. Aftercare is included without added cost in our normal tuition package.
Academics mean a great deal to us, because we think education forms a foundation for future success. Within our accredited private Christian school, students work on courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to assist those who are struggling. Credits earned can easily transfer to public or private schools at home. Boys may also study basic vocational skills such as woodworking, basic electrical, construction and carpentry, welding, basic automotive, and others. After completing our rehab, boys may opt to continue their classwork at home.
Many teens have turned their lives around and have gone on to make an impact for Christ after completing the program at Teen Challenge Ranch. We would like to talk with you to determine if our boarding school is a good option for your son. Whether you choose Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, a rehab and sober school in Decatur, Illinois, or another alternative, we hope your family can experience the transformation that Christ can bring.
