MORE STAFF — First, we keep student-to-staff ratios low so that boys receive an abundance of supervision and one-on-one attention. Our staff are highly trained and most have bachelor or master’s degrees in their area of work.
ADVENTURE-BASED LEARNING — Our outdoor adventure program is second to none. Our students have regular opportunities to experience fun and challenging outdoor activities. Students enjoy camping, backpacking, rappelling, canoeing, and spelunking (cave exploration). Students are challenged physically and learn the importance of goals and perseverance.
PRIVACY FOR EACH BOY — Rather than housing all the boys in a large dorm filled with bunk beds, our students have their own bedrooms, separate from the noise and influence of the other boys.
FAMILY VISITS — Residents are allowed to make visits to home on seasonally scheduled breaks.
ADDICTION TREATMENT — Our program is a licensed dual-diagnosis Addiction Treatment Center with staff expertly trained to treat substance abuse, as well as harmful lifestyle addictions to gambling, pornography, or online gaming.
EXTENSIVE AFTERCARE PROGRAM — After completion of Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, boys return home accompanied by a strong aftercare program to continue their positive growth. Aftercare is included in our tuition package.
Academics mean much to us at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for Boys, because we think education is critical for future success. In our private school with fully accredited courses, boys complete courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to aid those who need it. We offer a GED option for students with too many missing credits to complete senior high school on time. Credits earned can transfer to private or public schools at home. Boys can also learn basic vocational skills like woodworking, basic electrical, construction and carpentry, shop skills, basic automotive, and more.
Boys at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch take part in a variety of recreational activities, both on and off campus. We facilitate an adventure program that is second to none. Besides being fun and physically challenging for the boys, it teaches them about reaching goals, communicating and working well with others.

We value education and academic success, considering it key to long-term life success. Most of our staff have advanced degrees. Every boy on campus is taught and tutored several hours each day. Our disciplined and structured approach to learning, with individualized academic goals and progress, helps the boys get back on track with their education and our courses are fully accredited and transferrable.
