Healing and Hope for Thousands of Boys Over the Past Five Decades
Since we became the first residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been assisting families for more than five decades. We believe that a relationship with Jesus Christ is the best source of a lasting difference in the lives of the teenagers we serve. Every significant component of our program is biblically-based. We believe that centering our program on Christ is the reason so many teenagers have found success here, even where other programs have failed.
Several factors distinguish Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for boys from other therapeutic ranches:
-
MORE STAFF — First, we keep student-to-staff ratios low to ensure that boys have lots of supervision and personal attention. Our staff are highly trained and most have bachelor or master’s degrees in their area of work.
-
ADVENTURE-BASED LEARNING — Our outdoor adventure program is second to none. Our students have regular opportunities to experience fun and challenging outdoor activities. Students enjoy camping, backpacking, rappelling, canoeing, and spelunking (cave exploration). Students are challenged physically and learn the importance of goals and perseverance.
-
PRIVACY FOR EACH BOY — Rather than housing all the boys in a large dorm filled with bunk beds, our students can spend nights in their own bedrooms, separate from the noise and influence of the other boys.
-
FAMILY VISITS — Residents are allowed to make visits to home on regularly scheduled breaks.
-
ADDICTION TREATMENT — Our program is a licensed dual-diagnosis Addiction Treatment Center with staff expertly trained to treat substance abuse, as well as harmful lifestyle addictions to gambling, pornography, or online gaming.
-
EXTENSIVE AFTERCARE PROGRAM — After graduation from Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, boys return home with a strong aftercare program to prevent relapse. Aftercare is included in our tuition package.
