As the first residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been assisting families for several decades. We feel that a relationship with Christ is the surest way to healing in the lives of the boys we serve. Every main component of our program is biblically-based. We feel that centering our program on Christ explains why numerous boys are finding success here, even where other programs didn’t work.
MORE STAFF — First, we keep student-to-staff ratios low so that boys get a lot of supervision and one-on-one attention. Our staff are highly trained and most have bachelor or master’s degrees in their area of work.
ADVENTURE-BASED LEARNING — Our outdoor adventure program is second to none. Our students have regular opportunities to experience fun and challenging outdoor activities. Students enjoy camping, backpacking, rappelling, canoeing, and spelunking (cave exploration). Students are challenged physically and learn the importance of goals and perseverance.
PRIVACY FOR EACH BOY — Rather than housing all the boys in a large dorm filled with bunk beds, our students enjoy their own bedrooms, separate from the noise and influence of the other boys.
FAMILY VISITS — Residents are allowed to visit family on seasonally scheduled breaks.
ADDICTION TREATMENT — Our program is a licensed dual-diagnosis Addiction Treatment Center with staff expertly trained to treat addictions to alcohol or drugs, as well as harmful lifestyle addictions to gambling, pornography, or online gaming.
EXTENSIVE AFTERCARE PROGRAM — After graduation from Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, boys return home accompanied by a strong aftercare program to continue the forward momentum. Aftercare is included in our tuition package.
Academics mean a lot to us at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for Boys, because we find that education is critical for future success. In our private school with fully accredited courses, boys complete courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to help those who are struggling. We offer a GED track for boys with not enough credits to finish high school in a timely manner. Credits earned can transfer to private or public schools at home. Boys may also study basic vocational skills like woodworking, basic electrical, construction and carpentry, shop skills, basic automotive, and more.
Residents at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch participate in a variety of recreational activities, both on and off campus. We facilitate an adventure program. Besides being fun and physically challenging for the boys, it teaches them about reaching goals, communicating and cooperating well with others.
Many boys have turned their lives around and have gone on to make an impact for Christ after successfully finishing Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for Boys. We would be happy to talk with you to determine if our boarding school is a good option for your son.
