We provide a protective, structured, and nurturing environment in which addicted boys from Indiana advance academically and behaviorally. They will also learn practical life skills, build character, and create healthy relationships with others. Addiction therapy here seeks to identify underlying reasons for the re-occurrence of inappropriate behaviors and addictions. We utilize adventure-based therapy, a proven curriculum, and continuous individual and group addiction counseling. As a result of these therapies, students replace their old ways of thinking and behaving with a new sense of drive and positivity.
For most boys who enter our program, harmful actions are driven by the substances they are abusing, from alcohol and marijuana to harder illicit drugs. Regardless, they have given in to unhealthy and extremely damaging methods of dealing with life. Substances and adrenaline-seeking activities have become the boy’s coping mechanism for handling the ordinary stresses of life. Once the addictions are under control, we introduce each boy to new, healthy ways of coping with struggles.
Spiritual principles such as honesty, integrity, and compassion are also taught to the boys and demonstrated by peers and staff. Boys are encouraged to trust God and seek His purpose in their lives. When students embrace these concepts, the need for drugs and alcohol will be lifted and they will be able to resume lives as happy, productive members of society.
If your boy is struggling with substances and/or behavioral issues, we can help turn his life around. Although we are not located in South Bend, Indiana, it is best for a boy to be removed from his negative peer influences in his home city, so the distance is a plus. At this program, he will learn how to conquer his struggles and build healthy relationships. For more information about this Christian rehab for teens, located in Arkansas, please contact us.
As the first residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been serving families for over 40 years. We feel that centering our program on Christ is the reason numerous young men are finding deliverance from addictions here, even where other rehab programs failed.
After completion of our Christian rehab, boys go home with a strong aftercare program to continue the forward momentum. Aftercare is included without added cost in our normal tuition package.
Academics mean a lot to us, because we feel education strongly supports future success. Within our private Christian school with fully accredited classes, boys complete courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to aid those who need it. Credits earned can easily transfer to public or private schools at home. Boys can also learn basic vocational skills like woodworking, basic electrical, construction and carpentry, shop skills, basic automotive, and more. After leaving our rehab, boys may choose to continue their classwork at home through the online Alpha Omega Academy that we use.
Many boys have turned their lives around and have gone on to make an impact for Christ after completing the program at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch. We would be happy to talk with you to determine if our boarding school is the right fit for your son. Whether you choose Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, a school in South Bend, Indiana, or another option, we hope your family can experience the restoration that Christ can bring. South Bend is the county seat of St. Joseph County, Indiana, United States,GR on the St. Joseph River near its southernmost bend, from which it derives its name. As of the 2010 Census, the city had a total of 101,168 residents; its Metropolitan Statistical Area had a population of 316,663 and Combined Statistical Area of 544,582. It is the fourth largest city in Indiana, and the economic and cultural hub of the Michiana region, with the University of Notre Dame located just to the north in unincorporated Notre Dame, Indiana.
The area was originally settled in the early 18th century by fur traders, and established as a city in 1865. The St. Joseph River shaped South Bend’s economy through the mid-20th century. River access assisted heavy industrial development such as that of Studebaker, Oliver Chilled Plow Company, and other large corporations.
The population of South Bend has declined since a peak of 132,445 in 1960, chiefly due to the demise of Studebaker and other heavy industry. The 2000 census recorded a population increase of 2.2% from 1990, the first since 1960. Today, the largest industries in South Bend are health care, education, small business, and tourism. Remaining large corporations include Crowe Horwath, Honeywell, and AM General.
