Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch enrolls boys from Missouri and across the nation on its Arkansas campus. It is unique from all other Teen Challenge programs in that it has private bedrooms for each of the boys. It also features an exciting wilderness program, mission trips and equine therapy.
For teen boys experiencing anger, emotional issues, depression, behavioral problems, legal problems, or drug or alcohol abuse, we can help. A chance at a new direction is available through this Teen Challenge program for adolescent boys. We lovingly train wayward boys to choose a new path in life, leading them to be godly and upright young men.
If you are interested in a Teen Challenge for your boy in Missouri, consider that Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch might be precisely what you need. Located in Arkansas, it may be a distance from Missouri, but that may be a good thing. Boys in need of intervention may need time away from your hometown — away from the negative impact of friends and familiar places — away and the pressures of friends there.
Since we became the initial residential Teen Challenge program for boys, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch has been helping families for over 40 years. A relationship with Jesus Christ is the best source of transformation in the lives of the teenagers. Every major element of our Teen Challenge program is biblically-based.
A number of factors set Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch apart from other similar programs:
MUCH LOWER COST! Teen Challenge is a fraction of the cost of other therapeutic programs.
ADDICTION TREATMENT — Our program is a licensed dual-diagnosis Addiction Treatment Center with staff expertly trained to treat addictions to alcohol or drugs, as well as harmful lifestyle addictions to gambling, pornography, or online gaming.
6-MONTH AFTERCARE PROGRAM — After completion of this Teen Challenge, boys return home accompanied by a strong aftercare program to help them continue to grow. Aftercare is included in our tuition package.
MORE STAFF — First, we keep student-to-staff ratios low so that boys get plenty of supervision and one-on-one attention. Also, our staff are highly trained and most have bachelor or master’s degrees in their area of work.
ADVENTURE-BASED THERAPY — Our students have regular opportunities to experience fun and challenging outdoor trips and activities. Students enjoy camping, backpacking, rappelling, canoeing, and hiking, climbing and cave exploration. Boys are challenged physically and learn the importance of responsibility, goals and perseverance.
PRIVACY — Rather than a large dorm filled with bunk beds, our students enjoy their own bedrooms, separate from the noise and influence of the other boys. We feel that this privacy is important.
Education means a lot to us at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch, because we believe education strongly supports future success. In our private Christian school with fully accredited classes, students complete courses led by certified teachers, with individual tutoring available to assist those who are struggling.
Parents from around the nation, including Missouri, decide on Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch for their sons.
Boys at Teen Challenge engage in many recreational activities, both on and off campus. We run an adventure program that is second to none. Besides being fun and physically challenging for the boys, it teaches them about reaching goals, communicating and dealing well with others.
Many teens have put their lives back on track and have gone on to make a difference for Christ after graduating from Teen Challenge. We would be happy to talk with you to determine if our boarding school is a good option for your son. Whether you choose Teen Challenge, a school in Missouri, or another option, we hope your family can experience the restoration that Christ can bring. |More about Teen Challenge in Missouri: |
Missouri is a US state located in the Midwestern United States, bordered by Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska. Missouri is the 21st most extensive and the 18th most populous of the 50 United States. Missouri comprises 114 counties and the independent city of St. Louis. The four largest urban areas are St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, and Columbia.
Missouri’s capital is Jefferson City. The land that is now Missouri was acquired from France as part of the Louisiana Purchase and became known as the Missouri Territory. Part of the Territory was admitted into the union as the 24th state on August 10, 1821.
Missouri mirrors the demographic, economic and political makeup of the nation (in general) with a mix of urban and rural culture. It has long been considered a political bellwether state. With the exceptions of 1956 and 2008, Missouri’s results in U.S. presidential elections have accurately predicted the next President of the United States in every election since 1904. It has both Midwestern and Southern cultural influences, reflecting its history as a border state. It is also a transition between the Eastern and Western United States, as St. Louis is often called the “western-most Eastern city” and Kansas City the “eastern-most Western city.” Missouri’s geography is highly varied. The northern part of the state lies in dissected till plains while the southern part lies in the Ozark Mountains (a dissected plateau), with the Missouri River dividing the two. The confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers is located near St. Louis. The starting points of the Pony Express Trail and Oregon Trail were both in Missouri. The mean center of United States population as of the 2010 Census is at the town of Plato in Texas County, Missouri.
