Our troubled youth boarding school was established to help teen boys become mentally and emotionally sound, academically strong, and prepared for a positive future. Our licensed therapeutic program helps boys recover from trauma, adoption issues, negative peer influences, physical/sexual abuse, drug/substance use, online addictions, and other life-controlling mental health conditions.
Through accreditation, CARF (Commission of the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) assists service providers in improving the quality of their services, demonstrating value, and meeting internationally recognized organizational and program standards. Accreditation is an ongoing process, signaling to the public that a service provider is committed to continuously improving services, encouraging feedback, and serving the community. Accreditation also demonstrates a provider’s commitment to enhance performance, manage risk, and distinguish service delivery.

Unlike some troubled youth boarding schools, Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch provides a loving Christian atmosphere where young men can grow in their relationship with God. There are many facets to the Teen Challenge Boys Ranch program. Every activity we do and in every class we offer has a Christ-centered element and a firm belief that God wants to do something amazing in each boy’s life.
Many of our regular activities are spiritually oriented. We have daily chapels, Bible studies, special retreats, mission trips, and other activities. We attend church services off campus and attend Christian conferences and other events. Many of our students choose to join our ministry team and take part in community outreaches and mission trips. Our drama team has performed in churches, youth groups, and other venues.

Sometimes, life throws a curveball at you. We are here to help your son recover from his negative experiences and move forward. Our troubled youth boarding school can help teens heal from behavioral issues, accept themselves, and become a better version of themselves.
Our troubled youth boarding school is built around providing the boys with adventure and physical outdoor activities. Outdoors, we go horseback riding, camping, backpacking, rappelling, canoeing, swimming, hiking, and spelunking (rock climbing and cave exploration). Upon entering our program, the boys take a three-day camping trip with staff and several seasoned residents. Additionally, there is one outdoor adventure a month, and twice a year, we spend a week at Camp Orr, the Arkansas Boy Scouts Camp. We also have a certified ROPES COURSE on our property, where the boys learn the importance of teamwork, goals, and perseverance. They develop better communication skills and improve their ability to work cooperatively with others.
Equine Therapy at Our Troubled Youth Boarding School
The interaction between the horse and the client often unlocks blocked emotions, allowing them to be processed and healed. Equine therapy also provides an innovative milieu in which the therapist and the patient can identify and address various emotional and behavioral challenges. Both during the activity and after the patient has finished working with the horse, the equine therapist can observe and interact with the client to identify behavior patterns and process thoughts and emotions.
